Bait and Spin Report

Hello Crowley lake anglers,

Fishing has been really good still with a variety of fish being caught all around Crowley Lake.
Perch are moving into the shallows and are on the chew.
Fishing light line with chartreuse, white, brown and cream colored grub with a crappie nibble has worked great. Slow retrieve has been best.
McGee bay, Sandy point and Leighton springs are a few hot spots that have produced these tasty perch.
Trout remain spread out all over the lake.
These fish are pulling hard so make sure you have fresh line on your reels.
I am finding fish anywhere from 20-30 feet of water.
McGee bay, Hilton bay, Alligator point and Sandy point are a few spots I’ve been fishing.
I’m always fishing a Carolina rig, using a 1/4 ounce sinker and a 2 foot florocarbon leader with 4 pound test.
Best baits for trout have been pinched crawlers, night crawlers, gulp eggs and powerbait. A little garlic scent seems to get them interested as well.

Good luck and tight lines!
