Bait and Spin Report + Perch

Crowley Lake is now in it’s no bait season. No live or scented baits may be used and you can only keep two trout that are a minimum of 18 inches in length. Barbed hooks are allowed, as are unscented plastics and jigs. The Perch limit is still 25, but same rules for artificial.

The fishing is fantastic these days!! The trout have moved into the shallows (10 - 15ft) and are taking Kastmaster and Thomas Bouyant lures in fish and frog patterns, try some more muted colors. Plenty of legal fish out there too. Perch can still be caught as well using Sierra Slammers or old fashioned feather jigs.

Trolling and fly fishing is also is also hot, check out those reports too.

Perch-

Perch are still plentiful! They can be found in the North Arm to Green Banks
Trolling, 20-25ft of water, 3-3.5 colors down. Try Jointed Rapalas or Flicker Shads
Spin, 13-18ft of water. Use Kastmasters, Perch Pattern Spoons, or unscented plastic jigs.
