Bait and Spin Report

Welcome Crowley anglers.

Fishing has been really good on Crowley lake. Fish are still spread out all over the lake.
Finding our own fish is always great, especially when the bite is really good and no one is around.
Good spots to try right now are in the north arm from Sandy Point all the way to the Green Banks area. Drop offs and ledges are great this time of year with the water warming fast.
Powerbait in rainbow, orange and yellow are producing really nice rainbows and even a few cutthroat trout. Nightcrawlers are also catching their fair share of fish.
1/4 egg sinker on a Carolina rig is my go to set up. Best Leader lengths, 8-14 inches, due to the water warming up and the trout hanging closer to the bottom.
Jigs are still producing early in the morning, before it gets too warm. Kastmasters, Thomas bouyants and rapalas are a few I like to throw.
Perch fishing is getting really good with this great weather, grubs and mini jigs are best fished with a slow retrieve.

Good luck and tight lines.
