Welcome to beautiful Crowley Lake,

What a great opening weekend of fishing here at Crowley lake.
With lots fish spread all over the lake, there has been some great early season fishing.
Some of the best spots for bait fishing are Hilton bay, Stormy Flats, Alligator Point and McGee bay. Fishing has been best in 25-32 feet of water.
Powerbait, nightcrawlers , pinched crawlers have all gotten their fair share of fish.
A Carolina style rig with a 1/4 ounce sinker and a short 16 inch, 4lb fluorocarbon leader is best.
Jigging had also been really good down deep. Tube jigs, mini jigs, Thomas Bouyants and Kastmasters are a great way to catch these trout. Color doesn’t seem to matter right now, fish them slow.
